Vice President Mike Pence gave a fiery speech to the conservative crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington D.C. on Thursday requesting that the conservative community as a whole offer their prayers to the entire Trump administration.
Pence told the fired-up crowd:
“With your help and with God’s help and with President Donald Trump in the White House…the best days for America are yet to come. Let’s get to work.”
For a large portion of his speech, Pence discussed his growing friendship with and admiration for President Trump since he first requested Pence join him as his running mate.
“It is the greatest privilege of my life to be Vice President to a leader of such conviction, vision and courage,” Pence said.
Pence pushed, however, that although the White House and Congress are in control of the right, the fight is still raging on.
Pence challenged the crowd:
“We must all of us rise to the challenge before us. The other side is not sitting idle…we gotta mobilize, we gotta march forward as if it’s the most important time in the history of our movement, because it is.”
Pence finished the speech with a piece of scripture that inspired him during the inauguration.
“If his people, who are called by his name, will humble themselves and pray — [God will] hear them from heaven and he’ll heal this land,” Pence said.
“One nation, under God, indivisble, with liberty and justice for all,” he finished.
