TX Sen. Ted Cruz was questioned about Kaepernick’s national anthem protest by TMZ Sports as he walked to his car. He slammed down on President Obama, along with the protest as a whole.

Cruz responded to the question saying, “It’s sad when you see rich spoiled athletes that don’t recognize what an incredible  blessing this country is. It’s very easy when you’re sitting there rolling in millions of dollars to disrespect this country.”

He went on, “I was disappointed to see President Obama stand with Kaepernick and say ‘Yeah, that’s right, disrespect the flag’. That’s not the job of the president.”
