Another example of its bias is the SPLC’s “Terror from the Right” timeline. The purpose of the timeline is to provide “a synopsis of radical-right terrorist plots, conspiracies and racist rampages since the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995.”
While the timeline includes the likes of Charleston church shooter Dylan Roof, the SPLC also includes Omar Mir Seddique Mateen, the Orlando nightclub shooter who pledged allegiance to
the NRA ISIS, and Micah Xavier Johnson, who killed five Dallas police officers during a Black Lives Matter protest.
The list also includes Gavin Eugene Long, who also killed three Baton Rouge police officers in an ambush-style attack.
The Daily Caller points out how the SPLC also “did not include two New Black Panther Party members who were arrested for planning to set off bombs during a Ferguson, Mo. protest on their right-wing terror list.”
The SPLC does not provide reasons why the three are considered “right-wing” terrorists and calls to the SPLC were not returned in time for publication.
