Late Friday, a man scaled the White House fence and made it within yards of President Trump’s residence before being apprehended by security, which prompted a discussion of just how safe President Trump is within his executive home.

Jumping in on the discussion, one former Secret Service agent is making his concerns known regarding a potential security risk in our nation’s Capitol.

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino discussed in an interview for Fox News Saturday his belief that President Donald Trump is not safe in the White House due to the current situations with the Secret Service’s attitude towards the presidential security plan.

Bongino stated:

“The president, in my humble opinion, is just not safe at the White House anymore because they’re not serious about the security plan. They’re serious about how the White House looks and uniform division, but they’re just not serious about the security plan at the White House anymore.”

Bongino, who was on President Obama’s security detail, claims that Friday’s security breach at the White House is just an example of the complete disregard on the Secret Service’s part to take action to better protect the president.

“You can put double fencing. You can angle the fencing outward so it’s nearly impossible to scale. You can put more personnel and special weapons teams on the South Lawn,” he explained.

Bongino claims that “special interests” are what’s stopping the Secret Service from upping their security measures, which, Bongino said, “is ridiculous.”

Bongino continued:

“If you think the Secret Service right now under the current security plan is prepared for a multiple-man tactical assault on the White House, you’re out of your mind.”
