There are seemingly endless topics which can very easily be debated. For the most part, there are multiple sides which oftentimes have very valid reasons to back a certain perspective. Even in regards to science, there is typically much room left open for debate.

However, one issue which there is probably not much space for debate (if any), is the question of whether or not the earth is flat. Hundreds of years ago, it was widely believed that the earth was flat. But, basic technological advances were able to prove that these claims were false.

Images of the earth from space got be spotted in virtually every second grade science classroom, while it is possible to see the curvature of the earth from high up skyscrapers, including the Sears (now technically Willis) Tower in Chicago.

Despite robust evidence on the contrary, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar Kyrie Irving now is claiming that the earth is in fact flat. After this fact surfaced on Twitter, a reporter asked Irving about it, presumably expected Irving to make clear that he did not question the curvature of the earth.

However, upon being asked about his belief, he did not back down. The former Duke University student continued to state his belief that the earth is flat. Some have stated they believe he is joking, for the sake of Irving, I certainly hope this is just a practical joke.
