It is no secret that the American people are now more accustomed than ever to look for news on Twitter. As now President Donald Trump has created headlines for years regarding his Tweets, especially throughout the campaign, there are constant headlines stemming from his comments made in 140 characters or less.
There are numerous times where his Tweets have raised questions.
For example after former Cuban leader Fidel Castro passed away several months ago he Tweeted:
Fidel Castro is dead!

Going years back, he has also offered some rather interesting analyses on Twitter. For example he weighed in on the dietary habits of Americans.
I have never seen a thin person drinking Diet Coke.

Last year Trump posted a picture of him eating McDonald’s on his jet on the campaign trail. The image was widely spread and was subject to many photoshopped versions of it.
Now, it appears McDonald’s is finally firing back on Twitter. Early this morning the official McDonald’s Corporation account Tweeted a rather unflattering statement about Trump. Interestingly, the Tweet was even pinned to the top of the account for awhile.
oh my it’s even pinned pic.twitter.com/tGv6EdpZEm

The company did quickly delete the Tweet though and offered an explanation of the situation.
Twitter notified us that our account was compromised. We deleted the tweet, secured our account and are now investigating this.

Interestingly, the global chief communications officer of the McDonald’s Corporation Robert Gibbs was the former Press Secretary under President Obama. Although it is certainly doubtful that he would personally Tweet this on the account.
