Marco Rubio isn’t clowning around as he thinks Snoop Dogg may have crossed a line with his new video Lavender, in which the rap mogul pretends to assassinate a clown-faced Donald Trump.
The Florida Senator called the rapper out in an interview with TMZ.
“Snoop shouldn’t have done that … You know, we’ve had presidents assassinated before in this country, so anything like that is really something that you should be very careful about,”
In the video, directors Jesse Wellens and James DeFina depict a clown filled America, with President “Ronald Klump.”
After Klump holds a press conference to announce the deportation of all dogs, Snoop chains up Klump and assassinates him with a toy gun.
Many have called it a great leap over the protections of the first amendment as Snoop Dogg does in fact depict the assassination of a Trump based character.
