It’s no secret that Washington is divided and that party lines certainly run quite deep, but sometimes there are just things you don’t say. One of those things is to “purge” a certain group from power, but it seems at this point, some conservatives believe that is the only option for the Trump presidency to be successful moving forward.

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) called via Twitter for President Trump to clean house “before disloyal, illegal & treasonist acts sink us.”

With the demand, King also shared a column by Daniel Horowitz that claimed that Trump could become a lame-duck president “unless he clears out Obama holdovers.”

Any open borders official within [the Justice Department] and [the Department of Homeland Security] should be gone. Any pro-government-run health care supporter within [the Department of Health and Human Services] has to go.

Any official within [the Treasury Department] who is not on board with the [Office of Management and Budget] spending cuts and pro-growth tax cuts should go out and campaign for their cause … on the outside. Any State Department official who is a shill for refugee resettlement, a Palestinian State, the Muslim Brotherhood, or who opposes the president’s immigration moratorium must go.

This hasn’t been an easy week for President Trump.

From the controversy surrounding his claims that President Obama wiretapped his phones during his campaign to the firestorm aimed at Attorney General Sessions — who was a senator at the time — for meeting with Russian intelligence during campaign season, this is perhaps the bumpiest week of his presidency thus far.

According to insider reports, President Trump is growing increasingly frustrated with the running of the White House. “Nobody has seen him that upset,” an unidentified source told CNN last week. Reportedly, Trump is incredibly frustrated with senior White House staff — namely chief of staff Reince Priebus.
