At Florida Atlantic University, a Milo Yiannopoulos speaking event was cancelled due to a “credible” threat by the FBI. Milo was due to give a lecture titled, “How Feminism Hurts Women” to an eager student body excited to hear him speak.
Milo Yiannopoulos is a British journalist and technology editor for Breitbart News. As a gay conservative activist, outspoken Trump supporter, and self-described most fabulous super villain on the internet, Milo is currently touring college campuses with a message of free speech and nationalism.
According of FAU Police Department, student organizers received a communication threatening to bring firearms to the talk or by blowing up the venue.
The threat was relayed to the F.B.I, which after investigation deemed it to be credible.
As of now, it has not been made public who is responsible for the threat and the FBI is still investigating the credible threat.
“I think it’s sad that people cause such issue over disagreements that they’re willing to threaten others out of anger instead of having a civil dialogue” said a student who wishes to remain anonymous.
