The FBI issued a warning to U.S. churches to be on the lookout for threats coming from ISIS followers after the terror group “continue aspirational calls for attacks on holiday gatherings, including targeting churches.” This updated and new warning has been extended from those in the past that were against military and law enforcement.
The new warning was sent out on Friday to law enforcement after ISIS sites had published a list of available churches based in the US. The new threats from ISIS related groups call for the type of attacks we’ve seen in Berlin, Nice, France, and Columbus, Ohio.
“There are no known specific, credible threats, The bulletin was issued out of an abundance of caution given the public nature of the posted threats and the holiday season.” US law enforcement officials say.
